誰かさんと誰かさん (Somebody & Sombody ) ドリフターズ (Drifters) | Japanese songs

Hi Folks! Japanese song corner!!!

It's been a while is it? I've been reading books as much as I can, because It was said to that fall is for reading books in Japan.

One of the book I read is "The catch me in the rye". Someone told me the book has been sold over sixty-five million in 60 years. As you know, this book is the one of most popular novel in this world. The book had been giving so much influence to young age and movies or musics.

I wanted to know how American kids thought and acted back then. Or, I wanted know what type of influences they got, If there are so many people read this book.

There are so many explanation about how adults can lie to each other for smoothing things over. How kids can pick that up and get hurt. Kids started to point those up and questioning to society when population of Age under 25 years old reached 50% of all.

Don't talk so glibly !

You might started wondering what dose this relate to this song I introduce today?

In the book Fevie(younger sister of the boy) says "It's not Catch me in the rye, meet me in the rye. by Robert Burns".

I researched about it, and hit this song. 『誰かさんと誰かさん Darekasan to Darekasan』

A song I put up here call 『誰かさんと誰かさん Darekasan to Darekasan』 means Somebody and Somebody. One of most popular comedy grope "Drifters" sang this song back in 1970s.

I figured out that this song was based on Robert Burns poet since I read "The Catcher in the rye. The lyrics of this song was so similar to it,

【Coming Through the Rye by Robert Burns(1759-1796)】

A body meet a body...............

I heard Scottish have been open about sex topics traditionally. That's why this kind of poet could be accepted by society.

I guess this poet has been symbolic expression for sexual object or New standerd.

Year 1960, when not restricted version of "Lady Chatterley's Lover (1928)” was published,

A teacher was fired for assigning the novel "The Catcher in the rye " in class.

Back in 1970s, My parents didn't want us to watch 【Drifters's 8 o'clock Show 】

Why? you can check it out yourself. It's funny.

Any way I totally understood the cultures are connected through the world.
Scottish folk song

lyrics Rey Nakanishi
Translated by coolcuts

The Body meets the body in the field of the rye
mua! mua! mua! mua! Kissing each other.
But it's OK.

I'll meet with somebody in the rye,
though I don't have any girl with me right now. I will find the one.

The Body meets the body under an umbrella.

They are totally soaking wet.
But that is OK.

I don't have anybody hung around with me.
I am too soaking wet with broken umbrella.

The body meets the body in the dark pavement.
necking necking around together
But it's OK.

I know it's non of my business, but I don't know why.
Make me piss off when I see them in the field of rye.

My daddy and My mommy sitting in the living room.
Dally dally close together.
But it''s OK
I am still not feeling sleepy yet. I'll go to bed.
I can leave you guys alone. Enjoy yourself!

I too in the rye with cute Miyo chan.
I forced her to kiss me. ゛It serves you right"
Oh! you do no understand how it's feel sooo sooo gooood.
One day you too come in to the field of the rye.

【Coming Through the Rye by Robert Burns(1759-1796)】

1. O, Jenny's a' weet, poor body,
Jenny's seldom dry:
She draigl't a' her petticoatie,
Comin thro' the rye!

Comin thro' the rye, poor body,
Comin thro' the rye,
She draigl't a' her petticoatie,
Comin thro' the rye!

2. Gin a body meet a body
Comin thro' the rye,
Gin a body kiss a body,
Need a body cry?

Comin thro' the rye, poor body,
Comin thro' the rye,
She draigl't a' her petticoatie,
Comin thro' the rye!
